Rick Colaw

President

Mr. Colaw has been with ITS Design Solutions since its inception when ITS Design Consultants acquired his prior company Voice and Data Cable Specialists. Rick was the founder of Voice and Data Cable Specialists where he served as President and manager of Operations from 1989 to 2010. Prior to founding Voice and Data Cable Specialists Rick founded and ran Cholla business Communications a telecommunications firm operating  from 1982 to 1989 where he served as General Manager.

Rick began his career as a field level technician for CCI from 1976 to 1980 where he worked on and installed many PBX and Key Systems including 1A2 before moving to Dial Tone Inc in 1980 Where he served as service manager until 1982. Mr. Colaw currently holds two Low Voltage licenses and  is a BICSI certified RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Design Engineer) a distinction recognized as one of the highest levels of expertise in the field of communications.

His background consists of more than 36+ years of experience and covers all aspects in the engineering, design and implementations of VoIP/Digital/Analog Voice/Data Components, Audio/Video, IP/Digital/Analog Security, CATV/CCTV, 802.11 Wireless LAN/WAN Technology, (OSP/ISP) "Outside/Inside Plant" Designs, Public Address (P.A.) Systems, Fiber-Optic Technologies and Structured Cabling including all types of Commercial, Hospitality and  Campus installations.
